Wifio.world is a website operated by Fresh Internet GmbH, a company registered in Switzerland. These General Terms and Conditions contain rental terms that form a rental agreement between you and Fresh Internet GmbH in Aarau, Switzerland, as the lessor. By accepting these General Terms and Conditions, you agree to the terms of the rental agreement and become the lessee.
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Wifio rents out 5G and 4G/LTE mobile hotspots (devices) for use within Switzerland, Europe, and worldwide (in covered countries). The included data volume during the rental period is unlimited. Each device can support up to 5 connections (worldwide) or up to 32 connections (in Switzerland). Wifio reserves the right to interrupt the internet connection in case of misuse.
2.1 ONLINE BOOKING PROCESS
The following steps describe the online booking process:
(1) Selection of the service. The lessee selects their rental criteria, including rental dates, number of devices, optional accessories, and delivery option (pick-up or delivery), as well as the currency in which the payment will be made.
(2) Second Step: The lessee enters their billing address, including first name, last name, full address, email address, and mobile phone number.
(3) Third Step: Payment details. The lessee can choose to pay by credit card or PayPal. The credit card or PayPal information is entered.
(4) Fourth Step: The lessee is informed of penalty fees in case of non-return of the device, its accessories, and optional equipment.
(5) Fifth Step: Payment is made, and the booking is confirmed.
(6) Sixth Step: The lessee uploads a copy of their passport or ID card to complete the booking. This is a legal requirement under Swiss law. Please note that we may request another copy if the quality is insufficient.
2.2 BOOKING CONFIRMATION
At the end of the booking process, the lessee will receive a confirmation email with the details of the reservation.
2.3 Wifio OBLIGATIONS
Wifio strives to provide the lessee with high-quality service. However, Wifio does not guarantee that the service will (1) be uninterrupted, (2) be timely, (3) be secure, (4) be error-free, or (5) be provided in non-covered countries. Wifio assumes the risks of normal wear and tear and will promptly repair and/or replace the device within 48 hours if damage significantly impairs its functionality. Wifio will refund the rental price according to the refund policy.
3. RESERVATION DETAILS
Booking Date: – We accept bookings at least 2 days in advance, depending on the delivery option.
Minimum Rental Duration: – The minimum rental period is 2 days.
Maximum Rental Duration: – The maximum rental period is 730 days.

4. DATA USAGE LIMIT
Unlimited high-speed data volume in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Within the European Union (EU), 2 GB of high-speed data per day.
In other covered countries, at least 500 MB of high-speed data per day or according to the booked data plan.
Data exceeding this volume is also unlimited, but speed will be reduced to a maximum of 512 kbps until the next calendar day.
5. ACCEPTANCE OF THE MOBILE HOTSPOT
The lessee must accept the device, fully charged and ready to use, along with a fully functional charger, USB cable, and optional accessories (if ordered). The lessee must report any complaints regarding the device and/or accessories immediately upon acceptance to the lessor.
6. LESSEE’S OBLIGATIONS
When using the device or service provided by Wifio, the lessee must not engage in any actions that (a) are abusive, illegal, or fraudulent, (b) damage or impair the network, or (c) alter the purpose of the mobile hotspot. The lessee is responsible for adequately protecting the device from destruction, damage, or loss due to theft and for keeping it in proper and functional condition.
7. RETURN OF THE MOBILE HOTSPOT
The device, along with all accessories and optional equipment listed in the rental agreement, must be returned in good condition on time. The lessee is liable for any damages in case of late return and is also responsible for accidental damage. The lessee may use the return service (15 CHF).
8. LATE RETURN
If the device and its accessories are returned more than one day late, an additional rental fee will be charged for each day started.
9. EXTENSION OF THE RENTAL PERIOD
An extension of the rental period is only possible with the written consent of the lessor before the end of the current rental period. An additional deposit to cover the costs of the extended rental period must be made. The lessor is entitled to refuse an extension without giving reasons. If the lessor agrees to an extension of the rental period, all provisions of the original rental agreement will continue to apply unchanged unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. LESSEE IDENTIFICATION
The Swiss Telecommunications Act requires a copy of the lessee’s passport or ID card. The lessee agrees to upload a copy of their passport or ID card. The lessee’s private data will be treated strictly confidentially.
11. RENTAL PRICE
The rental period is calculated per rental day. The first day of the rental period is the day of pick-up/delivery; the last day is the day of return. All prices include 8.1% VAT. The rental price is specified in the rental agreement and includes the use of the device as stated in the rental agreement for the agreed duration, as well as any additional fees for optional accessories.
12. PAYMENT METHOD
Payment can be made via PayPal and the following credit cards depending on the currency: “Mastercard,” “Visa,” “Discovery.”
13. MODIFICATION/CANCELLATION/REFUND
The lessee may cancel an order free of charge up to six days before the pick-up/delivery date.
For cancellations within shorter periods, the following fees apply:
Up to five days before the start of the rental – 20% of the total order costs;
Up to three days before the start of the rental – 50% of the total order costs.
If the rental device has already been handed over to the post or courier service, no refunds are possible. If it is not possible to repair or replace the device that significantly impairs its functionality within 48 hours, Wifio will provide the lessee with a partial refund.
14. LOSS AND DAMAGE FEES
The lessee is solely responsible for the loss or damage of the device during the rental period. In the event of loss or damage, the following amounts will be charged:
Complete loss or damage to the Wi-Fi router set with device and accessories: CHF 200.00
Wifio device: CHF 180.00
SIM card: CHF 50.00
Powerbank: CHF 25.00
Charger: CHF 15.00
USB cable: CHF 15.00
Car charger: CHF 15.00
15. DATA PROTECTION
All data provided by the lessee during the use of the Wifio device will be protected according to the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data provided by the customer will only be used to fulfill the contract. The customer agrees to receive information for marketing purposes by email. Consent can be revoked in writing to Wifio at any time.
16. COPYRIGHTS
All texts, graphics, button icons, and images (collectively referred to as “content”) belong exclusively to Fresh Internet GmbH. The content is protected by international copyright laws. Wifio and the Wifio logo are registered trademarks of Fresh Internet GmbH. The use of these trademarks without express written consent is strictly prohibited.
18. LIABILITY
Wifio is not liable:
(a) for interruptions or restrictions in the operation of the device due to failures of public telecommunication or energy facilities or special local conditions (e.g., in the desert or underground);
(b) or events beyond Wifio’s reasonable control that prevent Wifio from fulfilling its obligations under these General Terms and Conditions.
19. JURISDICTION AND APPLICABLE LAW
These General Terms and Conditions are subject to Swiss law, excluding conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Any disputes arising from these General Terms and Conditions will be exclusively referred to the courts in Aarau, Switzerland.
